Nostalgia and good vibes inspired, BONBONWHIMS is a whimsical, AAPI-owned jewelry & accessory brand offering custom-made, new and up-cycled pieces. Founded by Clare Ngai, who immigrated from Hong Kong to the U.S. when she was 18 to attend college, she’s worked in the fashion industry and specifically in the digital and influencer marketing space for the last decade. In summer 2020, Clare took her long-term passion and interest for jewelry to the Instagram platform and used it as a vehicle to raise awareness and funds for BIPOC organizations. Some signature pieces such as the chunky Y2K-inspired resin rings and enamel POP DROP earrings unexpectedly and swiftly became bestsellers and took the media and celebrity world by storm. Within the first year of its launch, BONBONWHIMS has been featured in the New York Times, VOGUE, Forbes, WWD, Harper's BAZAAR, InStyle, WhoWhatWear and The Cut to name a few. A-list celebrities such as Ariana Grande, Kylie Jenner, Olivia Rodrigo and Megan Thee Stallion are all fans of the brand.
