Best friends Dae Lim and Mia Park established Sundae School, a line of cannabis-influenced apparel, on, uncoincidentally, April 20, 2017. Dubbing its designs “smokewear,” the New York label seeks to kindle a conversation around the use of marijuana by infusing laid-back streetwear with a healthy dose of humor. The collection simultaneously honors the duo’s South Korean roots with cultural motifs referencing their childhood in Seoul, while celebrating their perspective on the Asian-American experience.
